About me

Hello,

I've recently left a Masters in Contextual Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven and I am looking to find my way into a UX position working to develop effective user interfaces. I have only just returned to London. I'm currently looking to start my training at Akendi and do my User Experience Specialist Certification, but what I really want is hands on experience as part of a dedicated team. I want a variety of projects and different types of application and I want to be challenged to be the best in the field.

At the moment I am polishing up my computer skills and playing around with Axure software. I'm subscribed to some very good UX blogs and marketing media forums- I have an advantage in that my husband is a senior developer at a London agency and is pushing me in the right direction. I also have a feel for Google Analytics and Optimiser. I did a Master Class at the Baltan Laboratories in October which introduced me to processing and ways of tapping live data resources (from twitter, NYT and google)and was exploring augmented reality apps like Layar. I have a blog and some projects I was working on online *.

I'm looking for a place to work while I train, to gain and build my experience. I will need direction and guidance at the beginning, but I am bright and I will grow into the best candidate you could hope to recruit. My salary would be entirely negotiable until I have completed my training- but I feel it would be beneficial to be using the skills as soon as I learn them and in doing so I would have the ability to tailor what I learn with what your company needs.
