About me

I am a design graduate with a keen interest in colour, texture, design and pattern. I'm an open minded individual who is committed, patient, attentive, diplomatic and perseverant. I have the ability to work on my own initiative, or as part of a team using good communicational skills. I am a loyal, hard working individual who is flexible and willing to adapt to new situations. I see myself as a friendly, social person. I have full working knowledge of Domestic and Dubied (industrial) knitting machines. I also have a working knowledge of Shima Seiki (computerised) machine's and know how to hand knit and French knit. I also have the ability to use a handloom, and to screen print and transfer print. I have good knowledge of PC's and Mac's, including using such programs as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Power Point. I am good at using the Internet, as I often need it for research. I feel I have appropriate IT skills to be able to achieve most computer related tasks. I have good people skills and feel comfortable interacting with the general public. I work well with children and adults, and have good communication skills. I am happy to deal with people over the phone and in person. I am always willing to offer help and advice to someone in need. My written work is usually well received. I have good spelling, punctuation and grammar. I have letter writing and essay-writing skills that I feel will be beneficial in the future.
