Please find attached a copy of my most recent CV. Most of the relevant
information is on my CV however I would like to use this as an
opportunity to expand on my level of experience and to show my level of
skills in photography.

I studied audio/visual and graduated in 2005 with Distinctions. I
got a lot of my photographic training during my time in college and
became skilled at using the Hasseblad medium format and the 4x4 large
format camera's. Having completed my Degree I took a year out to
travel and set out to complete my own personal travel photography in
Australia and South East Asia. It was a memorable experience both in
the Photographs I took and the people who made those images
possible.

As you can see in my CV I have spent the last year working in a
Photography Lab in London. It was great to work in an area I have
always been interested in and I feel I have learned a great deal about
traditional film which I think is key to any Digital Photographers
understanding of Photography. I have also recently spent a short time
in Los Angeles working with two well established fashion photographers.
I have always wanted to try my hands at fashion photography and these
internships gave me a chance to work in this filed. However
studio/location shooting is my passion and I am very keen on getting
back into the studio and creating/retouching those great
photographs.

Previous to the lab I had worked for two years in GR.Watts Portrait
Photographers where I mainly specified in studio portraits covering
families, children, weddings, models and sports portraits. As I was the
sole worker I also had the job of all the post-production work. This
was of great benefit to me as I was able to take my Photoshop skill to
an advanced level. Working in such a well established studio meant that
a great deal of accuracy went into every image thus producing the final
image to the highest standard was essential. Other key areas I had to
concentrate on were sales and after sales which were of major
importance. As there were a huge selection of frame types and different
forms of printing to choose from, having a good knowledge in this area
was also important. Although I was mainly in the studio I also helped
with the archiving of Sport images with Sportsfile, which is owned by
the same Boss. Implying a very accurate archiving system was essential
for this to work. Both the studio shots and the sport images were all
archived with an online library system where images were available for
purchasing or downloading depending on the clients needs.

As I have spent a lot of time in the studio I have a good knowledge
of 5 point lighting. I have also shot products for the magazine
‘Irish Runner' which come out monthly. I have been involved
with taking the yearly book cover for ‘A Season Of
Sunday's' also published in each yearly addition.

I would like to point out that my photography skills don't
just stop in the studio. I have not only assisting but also being chief
photographer for various weddings. I have also done many lifestyle
shoots and other commercial shoots when times of self-employment have
occurred. I do enjoy all the different areas of photography be it
indoors or outdoors.
