About me

Hello, I'm Sarah, an aspiring graphic designer, previously a garden designer, with a small business specialising in garden design for private clients.

I graduated with a BA Hons in Landscape Architecture, providing me with the knowledge of design processes, from client/site visits, working with a budget, sketches/design concepts, through to detailed scaled drawings, construction, then if required an on-going maintenance schedule.

However, due to Covid-19, sadly I lost many of my clients, and had to close down Gardens by Design, after nearly 10 years, although, I do have references.

I am competent in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, Microsoft Office e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel.

I have worked alongside Malvern Hills District Council, to contribute towards Malvern Hills walk app, where I helped provide some photos, annotated and tweaked photos, created a large scale map of the route(s), incorporated text, all using Photoshop. I was also the primary tester for the app, making sure it functioned as expected before it was uploaded to the Apple and Google store, ready for the public to download.

This opportunity helped me to gain more experience and knowledge of digital design, and UI, and UX design too, helped to fill a gap when I was not working as much.

I believe my qualifications combined with my experience and online portfolio, makes me an ideal candidate for a career in graphic design.
