About me
I am interested in jobs relating to surface, textiles, accessory or jewellery design. I believe I have the aspirations to generate many fresh and innovative ideas. Since graduating I have been involved with freelance work creating innovative textiles jewellery, multimedia canvas pieces and greeting cards for private commissions or trade fairs.
Throughout my degree I gained a good working knowledge of a variety of materials and processes, such as textiles (print, weave, sewing, embroider, moulding), paper (making, manipulation, embossing, moulding, printing), glass (moulding, sand blasting), plastics (moulding, resin), wood, ceramics etc. I love working with colour, experimenting with a varied range of materials and painting/drawing styles, while keeping up-to-date with current art and design trends and having to present ideas and selling final products. I am confident in using IT provision and possess a good knowledge of CAD software's such as Photoshop and 3D Studio Max. I am a motivated and hardworking, creative person and would be keen to further my career in a field that is in such a fast moving environment, continuously challenging and varied.
I believe I have gained valuable experiences in previous employments with regards to maximising my own impact and being motivational and inspiring to the rest of the team. I work and contribute well within a team but also independently. My strong points are time management and being able to schedule and prioritise.
