Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for a role as a Junior Artworker within your firm. I am an enthusiastic and motivated person who has a passion for design and presentation, and a passion for people.

I have always had and maintained a strong interest in graphic design that began in the midst of my education, and since then I have taken initiative in every season of employment, to seek and even create opportunities to develop skills and experience within this field. Over the years I have gained extensive experience designing and producing various forms of artwork such as brochures, magazines, newsletters, flyers, and wedding stationary, all of which have been created using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

My strengths lie in having an excellent eye for design as well as colour. I am very attentive to detail and tend to work at my optimum efficiency when under pressure, though this is not a pre-requisite to performing highly. Willing to take initiative, yet not afraid to ask questions if need-be, I learn quickly “on the job”. Thus I am keen to gain a solid understanding and expertise within this line of work, and so an opportunity to work in a company where I could learn and develop new skills in a professional context is extremely appealing to me, and essentially necessary in order that I may move forward.
