I am interested in applying for the above position at your company. With 7 years experience editing, using Final Cut Pro, and a life long passion for cinema, I feel I am the ideal candidate.

Currently I freelance as an FCP Editor. I have a passion for editing and hope to gain more experience, and be able to express my talents in a permanent role. I have worked with Post-Production companies, and with clients such as Agent Provocateur and Polydor Records. I have also built and edited music videos, promos, and how-to's.

At the age of 15 I gained work experience at Reuters, on the media desk. I wrote several pieces that were later published, designed logos for reports and attended press conferences. I learnt how to work under pressure, meeting deadlines, in a fast paced environment. It was working here that I realized I had to pursue a career in media as I enjoy the buzz of creativity so much.

Having a deep-rooted passion for films and tv, I studied Media Arts at Royal Holloway, University of London, specializing in Contemporary Art and Sound Design, World and British Cinema and Post-classical Hollywood. I love to talk about films regularly, usually on social networking websites. Whether it's a big blockbuster coming out in the summer, reading a review, or about a film that is currently in pre-production, I have seen it, read it or know about it. Cinema is so important to me because of its escapism and the worlds and emotions it creates, so I constantly want more. I love to see creativity come to life.

The dream is to edit feature films for the rest of my life, and I believe working in this perfect position at your company will help me to excel in the right direction. I consider myself to be a friendly, helpful person who enjoys the challenges of responsibility. With my passion for video editing, I am confident with the skill set required. I am a good multi-tasker, love to be organized and am always happy to help. I work well under pressure be it on one project or many, and in a busy environment too.
