About me
Sara is a passionate surface pattern designer that uses her illustrative style to create quirky designs from placements to repeats. She begins by hand drawing using media from fine liners to coloured pencils, drawing is the main focus of her intended outcomes. Her intricate drawings have been inspired by traditional forms of embellishment, beautiful embroideries tapestry with elements of the body that is a reoccurring theme. From influences of historical textiles, contemporary fashion and visiting archives she has created a contemporary merge. She is aware of current trend analysis through researching through WGSN and various blogs.
External and live projects that include Toast, Bradford, Glovers of London have interested Sara in finding contrasts and diversity she is prepared to respond to different brief. Sara has a strong visual identity and this is evident in any form of work she is featured in.
Sara would love to work in a lively studio atmosphere creating exciting and creative outcomes or as a freelancer designer and is keen to undergo any illustrative, fashion or interior related placement in creative design.
