About me

I currently work for a company called The Gift Pack Company Ltd. The Gift Pack Company provide many of the UK High Street Retailers with innovative and exciting bespoke food and alcohol related gift products.Customers of The Gift Pack Company include: Asda, Bhs, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Debenham's, Next, Matalan, Aldi. We also work closely with brands to develop branded gift packs.These brands include: Magners, Jacobs Creek, Blossom Hill, Lanson, William Grants.My primary responsibility is to concept artwork and prepare for print all packaging designs. This includes working on gift pack own label products and consumer branded products. I have helped develop the company own label year on year seeing one pack design short listed for a Star pack award.I have taken projects from initial concepts to on the shelf products, processing each stage from concept to development to print and proof working closely with the project managers. I have worked both as part of a team, which provided me with the opportunity to learn and take inspiration from senior designers. As well as independently where I rented a desk space in London and carried out the design and print for The Gift Pack Company.This grew my experience working independently and managing my own time and projects while also managing freelance designers. This has helped shape my self motivated approach as well as providing the additional responsibilities associated with being the lead designer on a project.With a detailed knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator CS4 and Quark Xpress and varied experience in high volume print production, poster, logo, leaflet and gift packing concept and design, instore advertising as well as Blue Chip client experience I bringing with me experience from high volume print production projects, and design ideas and approaches gained through working with some of Europeâ€(TM)s largest alcohol and confectionary brands.
