About me

I'm an art historian, that is the backbone of who I truly am, but I have a professional background in art, curatorial & writing and design& creative direction.

From art history I went on working with media for an international design showcase (experimentadesign) , where I discovered my passion for creative direction .

In 2015 I created a design studio SK Studio Collective who in 2018 turned into ThatS.Y. In 4 those years my team and I created unique branding driven by the love of clean lines, graphic purity and artistic integrity. In 2017, 2 of our projects were nominated in the category of Corporate Identity at the international design prize Fedrigoni Top Awards. The studio went beyond graphic design and worked with architects and developers, keeping a minimalist aesthetic who became the its hallmark.

I've given several art talks and published articles in Portugal, Malaysia and Hong Kong on art, design, and creativity and taught at different universities in Portugal and abroad, such as University of Maryland College Europe and The One Academy of Design in KL .
