About me
I am a recent graduate of the MA Industrial Design course at Central Saint Martins. Prior to doing my Masters, I received my Bachelor's of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design, and subsequently worked for two years at Arc Light Design, a lighting design studio specialising in hospitality and residential design. Upon my departure, I started at Eric Cohler Design, an interior design firm that works solely in the residential sector.
I believe that I am a suitable candidate for this position due to my background as lighting and interior designer. These experiences have given me knowledge in different aspects of interior planning, and product design, including management, meeting clients, costing, documentation, construction administration, and sourcing.
In additional, my three years experience has given me insight on the practicalities and limits of design work, and how to generate creative solutions within these confines. The nature of the work in interior design especially has taught me the importance of organisation and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
Having moved to many cities throughout my life, I have shown that I'm a fast learner and adapt to new situations easily. I have also been known to contractors and vendors as an extremely effective and personable designer.
