About me

I have recently relocated to Brighton after spending a year working for a national sales magazine as a commercial designer near Leeds. This position gave me great experience in all areas of magazine production & graphic design. It allowed me to develop my artworking/program skills & learn techniques suitable for all types of design work, from arranging design for print to formatting & designing animated web banners.

I have gained much experience in designing for clients as well as for consumers, and have been involved in all areas of getting a publication to print including page layouts, proofing & file formatting as well as design of media packs/brochures & other company extras to be sent to clients.

Alongside this position I have been involved in a number of freelance projects ranging from corporate branding & logos through to presentation layouts & brochures for larger companies.

I am very proficient in all related programs from having day to day use of Quark, Photoshop, & Illustrator on both a mac & pc platform.

I am very keen to learn, enthusiastic, & good at contributing to team projects or working productively on my own. I feel that I have gained sufficient knowledge & experience to be able to see a project through from start to finish. Due to the nature of my previous work am very used to dealing with tight deadlines and working at great speed and accuracy, particularly with Quark and Photoshop, and feel i can contribute at any stage of production.
