About me

I am a recording sound engineer with skills in audio design, sound
recording, audio programming and music composition.

I graduated from the Gateway School of Recording in 2005 where I was
awarded a BA Hons in Audio Technology, Music Prodution and Music
Industry Studies.

Upon leaving Gateway, my first assignment was at Private and
Confidential Music where I worked in five (5) of the songs featured on
Heather Small's second solo album "Close to a Miracle".
This involvedsetting up the microphones, obtaining the correct levels,
recording a drummer and recording a string section. I
additionally did some of the mixing and of course, was a good host to
Heather Small by making sure all her needs were met.

After this I did various freelance assignments for the VOD music
channel V:MX including music composition and sound design. I was
solely responsible for the theme music for recent documentary
"Visionaries". Other work required mastering and
editing for a sports DVD "The Urban Freestyler" and using
Flash to program audio for viral games for the Kodak website.
Being a freelancer eventually led to me and a collegue building a
fully sound proofed recording studio paying particular attention to the
acoustic properties of the live room, called "Knockout
Studios". This was set up in a commercial property where we
currently record various signed and unsigned bands.

My ambition is to work in a creative role in sound design, audio
editing and mixing/mastering for a successful organisation where there
is plenty of scope for progression.

My interests include playing video games, watching films and DJing a
weekly two hour slot on life fm where I host the "slim chance
show" playing all the latest experimental dance music covering
genres from Drum and Bass to House and Hip Hop. I also enjoy going to
Jazz music venues including Roni Scotts.
