Hi I would like to apply for the graphic designer position i have seen advertised.I am a bright enthusiastic designer who is currently working in the industry with 3 years experience behind me. I feel passionate about the work i do and would love the chance to build on my existing skills and further my career

In my current role producing the advertisements it is my responsibility to make sure I plan and prioritise my own workload. There are extremely tight daily deadlines to be met and if these are not prioritised and planned then these deadlines would not be met. Additionally, I will be managing a number of different design briefs at any one time and need to be aware of when they need to be completed and what amendments they may require.

My current role has helped to further develop my attention to detail and ability to work in a pressurised environment. The adverts that are produced appear in the publications and if they are not correct or have small errors it does not represent the client in a professional light. Therefore it is my responsibility to make sure this attention to detail is applied to all projects. Furthermore, having such a tight turnaround in deadlines means that it is crucial I manage the pressure effectively and ensure I stay calm to achieve a high standard with a quick turnaround.

Additionally, I work well in a team and this is highlighted through the cohesive relationship I have with the rest of the team in my current role. It is crucial that we communicate and support each other. Most importantly, it is crucial that we listen to each others ideas and thoughts to produce the best work we can and do to gain a different perspective on a piece of work.
