Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Sam Thomas and I'm a graphic designer from a little town in Dorset UK. I am writing to you as I am currently on the look out for work opportunities and have seen the vacancy you have advertised.

I graduated from UWE, Bristol in the summer of 2012 with second-class honours (upper division). Since then I've worked as an intern at two award winning studios. During this period I have learned a great deal in marketing, design and communications and now feel confident applying for full time roles.

I would describe myself as a creative and ambitious designer whose objective is to offer a fine eye for detail, originality to content, and enthusiasm, with a main passion towards type and print.

Sector Experience

Proctor & Stevenson, Bristol - (15/10/12 - 20/12/12), For P&S I assisted the creative director and management on many different projects. From developing presentations with InDesign or Powerpoint,to creating exhibition stands for a leading titanium dioxide company, Cristal Global. As well as collaborating with a motion designer to produce the P&S Christmas animation., Arnold Jones Associates Design Ltd, Dorchester - (01/10/12 - 12/10/12), During this internship I worked on a variety of projects including advertising concepts, design for print and new media. As a recent graduate I learned important aspects of graphic design, such as artworking and giving creative solutions whilst keeping to client specifications.
