ABOUT

Every second, 100 tonnes of waste end up at sea, 80% of which is plastic waste.
The accumulation of plastic waste in the seas is taking on a worrying dimension: According to estimates by the Ellen Macarthur Foundation, the oceans could contain more plastic than fish by 2050.
See below my modest artwork on the occasion of World Maritime Day, to raise plastic pollution awareness and inspire the world to find solutions and rethink plastic use.

The concept behind the campaign was straightforward: to make the earth a less scary place to inhabit. The goal was to capitalize on Halloween's popularity and shift focus to a more critical issue : the environment.
A collection of visuals was created, featuring jarring and shocking images of plastic bags engulfing oceans and jeopardizing marine creatures.
