A Creative linguist, which is a fun umbrella term for a Japanese-to-English translator and Copywriter.
I recently graduated from Cardiff University with a 1st class Master's degree in Translation Studies and have two years' experience working in the freelance field. I've translated around 60,000 Japanese characters in total, with most of my work being short stories or gaming-related texts.
I'm now looking to expand my ballpark to the copywriting field too, as copywriting and translation are surprisingly similar - it's all about producing a really effective piece of writing that meets a brief, except one was written in another language first.
