About me

To whom it may concern,

During my time as the UX Consultant at Ideagen PLC, my experience and understanding of UX and Design has vastly gained momentum. I have worked on over 20 projects across various different sectors, notably those in housing, membership, NHS and NFP.

I am the single point of UX at Ideagen and work on every project that we win in various degrees. From the project initiation, I work with the client to understand the best ux strategy that I can do for them based on their project timescales and budget. From usability testing, through to cognitive site walk throughs, Analytic reviews and heat mapping analysis. I have given assistance with content strategy, in site search optimisation and key functionality requirements. I have produced work with User Personas and Persona Mapping, reviews of existing and potential user journeys, site mapping and navigation creation and testing. I create annotated wireframes using Balsamiq based on user analysis, and with a responsive design approach always at the forefront of what I do. Mobile first design approach will always be considered based on the client and user requirements. I create full documentation of all the work that I do and all the stages that are completed, giving the client a full understanding of the process and key reasons to decisions that.

My work feeds into our Design process, so I work very closely with the design team and with the client to make sure that ideas are in keeping with the data that has discovered. My work will also feed into our development process on occasion, where use cases and user journeys will need to be created for any new development that is needed. Our standard process of Sprinted work via the Scrum methodology is the usual process that projects take, although as our development team has now expanded, I have worked within an agile methodology also.

Similar organisations I have worked with: CAYSH, UK Health Forum, Intensive Care Foundation, Resuscitation Council, Association of Educational Psychologists, and Publishers Association.

Other projects of note: Vets4Pets, Sovereign Housing, Poole Housing, St Leger Homes, George Elliot Hospital, Birmingham Community Healthcare, Kent Fire, Sheffield Hallam - Community Justice Portal

Example of project work:

Intensive Care Society ()

Website redesign project

- Professional yet public facing

- User persona focused

- Content driven

- Clear calls to action

- Clear user journeys

- Responsive (RWD)

- Separate Foundation from Society

Focus group, user interviews and online user testing was held with project stakeholders, volunteers, surgeons, nurses and industry partners.

Current issues found with defining the Foundation from the Society. This was a huge concern as we identified that donations and fundraising were not being utilised on the website well enough for end users to locate this information. This needed to be addressed via an improved content audit and content mapping exercise, user persona
