Hi,

My name is Sam Turner. I have recently graduated from Ravensbourne with a BA Hons in Graphic Design. I now seek full time employment opportunities.

I would like to be considered for a position within your company. I am available for work immediately.

I have a strong understanding of the design process and a passion for generating innovative ideas and bringing them to life. I am a designer with a knack for problem solving. I am always exploring the digital aspects of design and different ways to exploit and integrate new and emerging technologies within projects. I have been taught the fundamentals of layout and typographic design. I am enthusiastic and I can produce high quality design at an efficient rate. I have a proficient knowledge of the Adobe Design Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I also have a basic understanding of Adobe Flash, Fireworks and Dreamweaver. I have a working knowledge of HTML and CSS code and I am continuously learning more.

I have just finished interning at a branding and web design consultancy working on a variety of branding, brochure design, web design and social media projects for a diverse range of clients. During my placement I had to create brand materials, which had to remain consistent with strict guidelines. I was responsible for coming up with initial brochure ideas through to the final concepts and designing the artwork. I had to prepare the files for print and deal with the printers directly. I have learnt how the features of social media platforms can be used as a tool to create brand awareness and expand a company's on-line presence. I have learnt how to design, construct and manage high quality web sites using WordPress. This has strengthened my knowledge on HTML and CSS coding. I have also gained knowledge on how to use search engine optimisation (SEO) to increase a web sites rank within search engine results.

I feel that my strengths within design are branding, creating print and digital campaigns, wayfinding, information design, layout and typography. I feel this would be of benefit to your company. However, I am always willing to step outside of my comfort zone and try my hand to anything.
