About me

My name is Sam Todd, I am a Graduate Product Designer from Nottingham Trent University who has industrial experience at two Product Design consultants in Leicester, which are Hodges and Drake Design and Lewis Design Associates, and I am currently looking for work in the Design Industry. I have experience in POS design and I have strong visualisation abilities, using a variety of design software such as Photoshop and 3ds Max.

I have worked in the Design Industry for several years where I have been working on the manufacture and development of design prototypes for major brands, where I have gained valuable experience in the development of various projects, including the production of very high end Point of Sale units and the use of specialist computer software. I have a lot of skills to offer you in terms of flexibility, as I have experience and the ability to work on all aspects of the design process. I am able to generate concepts, develop ideas and build prototypes, and create high quality photo-realistic visuals of products and environments, for which I have a real passion.
I have several years experience with working in design workshops, working on a huge variety of high profile projects for many major companies, and I also have a BA in Product Design. Over the years of working in the design industry I have also been constantly developing my software skills in order to be able to provide employers with specialist knowledge and ability to produce the highest quality of work to specification, and to meet any requirements that are desired. The software that I specialise in is 3ds Max 2011, Vray 2.0, Solidworks 2010 and the Adobe Creative Suite CS4. I spend a lot of my spare time using the software and learning new methods of producing high quality work.

Along with my skills and experience I have an exceptional attitude to work, which I feel has really helped me to progress in the design industry. I am always willing to work extra hours if needed, especially around tight deadlines, and I am always keen to learn new skills. I have an extremely good eye for detail and I put a lot of care into my work. I am a very reliable worker who is ambitious, motivated, enthusiastic and committed, and of course who loves working in the busy, creative Design Industry.
