Hello,

I am a recent graduate from University, and was very excited to see your advert for a Graphic Designer. This is exactly the sort of role that I am currently looking for and at which I am confident that I will excel.

My training as an illustrator gives me a different approach and view on design, and a fresh skill set to bring to the table. I have become highly proficient at image manipulation and creation using traditional illustrative mediums, vector work, photography, film and typography.

Over the past three years, I have become highly proficient in Adobe CS on both Mac and Windows.

In addition to this, I function well in a fast-paced environment, can work in a cross-functional team and I am committed to ensuring high design consistency and style standards in everything that I do. I have managed several projects, ranging from simple poster designs, to assisting full marketing campaigns and brand identities.

Co-operating with other designers, as well as directors, performers and technical engineers in order to produce work has given me diverse and reliable communication skills, as well as the confidence to respond to different clients and their requests. This has given me the skill set to ensure the visual communication I create aligns with the identity and visual language that my client wishes to convey.

Additionally, honing my skills as a Graphic designer and Illustrator has involved a great deal of research, as well as conceptual design and project management. As such I am skilled at taking projects through from concept to completion both as part of a team ,and alone.

On a personal level I have an unyielding commitment to quality as well as extreme attention to detail, and am someone who can stay self-managed under tight deadlines. I am also an exceptionally productive individual, always looking to make my own workflow more efficient. The diversity of the clients I have worked with has given me the reflexes and forethought to design work pro actively, responding to problems before they occur in order to streamline my workflow and ability to convey ideas fluidly to clients such as brand positioning or layout design.

I hope to learn quickly and effectively taking on constructive criticism and bringing several fresh ideas to the table, capably being able to produce new concepts as well as pick up existing projects, and delivering faultless design whilst flourishing under the high paced nature of this industry.
