Having been brought up in a multicultural family travel and exploration are an integral part of Sam Bénard's life. Speaking English, French and Spanish, Sam's photography has a strong emphasis on the local people and their cultures; Sam's languages allowing him to communicate with his subject on a much more personal level bringing him closer to them and opening doors to new and unique experiences.

For Sam, photography isn't just about capturing an image...it's the whole creative process of exploration, connecting and the personal experiences that are unique to working in the industry. Communication and observations are key and define his work and style as a photographer.

Sam's work is easily recognisable by its considered stylised look and clean composition. Focused around sport and portraiture Sam's ability to work fast and efficiently means he can adapt quickly to get the most out of his subject, whatever the situation...whether in studio or on location.
