About me
I am a Visual Culture graduate who has been working for the last year as a Web Coordinator but am now looking for a more creative and inspiring role. I have an excellent eye for design and an abundance of natural creative flair. In the past I have worked as a freelance graphic designer for a few small businesses as well as an independent record label. I also have experience of working as a Design and Print Assistant.
My current role as a Web Coordinator requires strong organisational and time management skills in order to meet important deadlines on a daily basis. Good communication and interpersonal skills are also an essential part of my role, as a large part of my job involves liaising across other departments within the company to ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day business.
There is also a large technical element to my current position that requires the ability to work accurately and methodically. Data analysis, updating web content using html/xhtml and website testing all require an intense amount of attention to detail.
Although there is room for creative thought within my current position I feel I would like to see my creativity manifested in a more tangible way. I would very much like the opportunity to combine the skills I have developed in my current line of work with my design and creative abilities and feel that I could really flourish as Designer (for print and for web).
One of my greatest assets is that I learn quickly and am able to develop skills fast. I am also intensely motivated by new challenges and at my happiest when I am problem solving, gaining new knowledge and learning (including teaching myself) new skills.
