Re: Marketing Assistant
I am an excellent candidate and wish to be considered for the above post (re: Creativepool, 20 July 2018) as it closely matches my skills and experience (see attached CV). Along with a degree-level education, I also have good experience in marketing, content-production (e.g. created digital content for websites and social media channels, and produced marketing materials), admin support, copywriting and proofreading, website and social media management, and strong skills in using WordPress CMS, MS Office, InDesign and Photoshop. I assisted in successfully marketing my company's brand (Easy Gourmet Ltd -) that reached target demographics, promoted its brand and drove 'traffic' to its website and converted visitors into registrations.
As a Marketing Assistant (e.g. Easy Gourmet Ltd - event planning), I assisted in creating marketing campaigns and disseminated content and created brand awareness across multiple platforms: e.g. managed EG's social media channels and promoted its brand and posted engaging content (e.g. created posts, Tweets and Pins, edited images and uploaded them to Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest channels); administered EG's website using WordPress CMS (e.g. wrote Blogs, abstracted news copy from web articles that cited EG and repurposed news articles, inserted client testimonials, tested web links in copy, and uploaded them into EG's website, and linked them to its social media channels); optimised web pages with keywords and tags for SEO that maximised visibility to search engines; sourced and edited images using Photoshop (e.g. retouched photos) and uploaded them into EG's website & social media channels; designed marketing brochures (using PowerPoint and Photoshop) for clients; wrote and proofread promotional and marketing copy; and undertook admin work (e.g. created financial reports in Excel, managed EG's CRM/database system, updated client contact records, composed marketing lists, and extracted data). The above shows that I have transferable skills, including marketing, website management and content-creating experience, a hawk-eye for detail and accuracy, time-management and multi-tasking abilities, and knowledge of using WordPress CMS, HTML, Photoshop, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, and social media tools.
My personal attributes include excellent communication skills - e.g. as a marketing assistant (at Easy Gourmet), I dealt confidently with client queries (phone, website & email) and arranged call backs and sent information packs from MS Outlook. In every job I had undertaken, I worked cooperatively with staff - e.g. as a marketing assistant, I provided support to marketing campaigns and distributed content across digital platforms. Conversely, I worked autonomously, contributed my own ideas and made creative decisions when producing marketing materials. I also worked flexibly under pressure and met deadlines in every job - e.g. at EG, I used Excel-based tracking files and prioritised multiple jobs according to their urgency and met rolling deadlines.
I am confident that I can make a valuable contribution to your client's marketing output with my marketing, website content and social media management, administrative and content-creation experience, along with strong skills in using WordPress, InDesign, Photoshop, and MS Office, and a strong interest in travel and a 'can-do' attitude.
