About me

As a designer I am fascinated with interactive public space.

Focussing on the experience of space, textures, sounds, smells.

Appealing to the senses, they seduce and intrigue the audience. Engaging you to explore the surface the aesthetics, as well as adding to the design.

My initial concepts are behaviour led. Looking at the psychologies of how people interact, and use each other within space. All in all Creating and designing experiential environments that vary for each individual.

I employ a very hands on approach to design with 1:1 models allowing me explore the situation for myself and physically experience what I am trying to create. There is a greater sense of interaction as I integrate my design experiments with material reality of the space.

These experiments trigger responses from passers by who subconsciously interact and become part of my experimentation.

To ground my ideas and bring together a degree of reality Cad is a brilliant way to communicate this, as projects now take a more dynamic approach; with visualisations that show more than just the design, they capture the atmosphere.
