About me
I have recently graduated at the Sir John Cass Art Media and Design department at the London Metropolitan University with a First Class BA (Hons) in Interior Design and Technology.
I am 28 years old, Italian and attended the high school in Jesi (Italy) where I gained a diploma in accounting and computer science. After working as clerk in the tax and accounting office of my town's National Handicraft Federation, I came to live in London for personal reasons at the end of 2000. In January 2001 I started to work as sales assistant at Giorgio Armani's boutique in Sloane Street (London), where I worked part-time during my years at the university. I resigned in May 2006 to concentrate on the preparation of my major project.
I have been selected to present my major project in two exhibitions: D&AD - New Blood Exhibition (London, 26-29 June 2006) and New Designers (London, 5-9 July 2006). In addition, the magazine FX, in its September edition, published what in their opinion were the best projects from New Designers, and my project was one of the eight chosen in their "Pick of the crop" article.
During the BA course I have specialized in both retail/commercial and residential projects. One of my projects, a dentist's surgery, was chosen by the actual dentist who commissioned the project. In addition to specializing on design, I have had the chance to learn about model making and laser cutting.
Since July 2006 I have been involved in the complete refurbishment of my flat. When I bought it, the flat was in an awful state. The intention was to transform it thoroughly. The renovation was radical, involving even a dramatic change in the floor-plan itself. I not only took care of the interior design, but I have also followed the works by the contractors, which are now coming to an end.
I assure you that I am an extremely hard worker, I love to work in a team and I am very keen to learn.
