About me
I graduated from The University of the West of England with a 1st class degree in illustration BA(HONS) in 2009 and am now firmly established in London.
My portfolio incorporates both traditional and digital tools retaining my signature line quality throughout all of my own work, fuelled by my sense of play and humour.
Within my personal practice themes of popular culture, Kitsch and camp feature heavily. As an LGBTQ+ illustrator I am keen to investigate pursue project that explore and celebrate this topic. For example I have a on-going collection of Illustrations based on gay icons.
Another one of my passions is animals. I set up a company called Woof Portraits alongside Ryan Hodge illustration which provides custom pet portraits for private and commercial clients.
Stylistically, all of My work has a common thread. Starting with an expressive line drawing my illustrations are built up in layers of colour and detail with varying levels of complexity. This is very much inspired by my experience with screen printing.
