Dear Digital Gurus,

As far as hungry young writers go, I'm ravenous and have the skills to boot. I'm also a trained and seasoned journalist and have worked for a number of publications on a full- and part-time staff. I am now seeking a new challenge in building upon the copywriting experience I have. I believe I am your perfect candidate and so am writing to apply for the position of Junior Copywriter, as advertised on Creativepool.

Most recently I worked for CE Media, writing about SMEs and start-ups in the UK and Europe for Elite Business and Elite Franchise magazines. I wrote news on a daily business and upwards of seven feature articles per month. I prided myself on writing in a clear and consistent manner. During this year-long role, I also acted as web editor and subedited two magazines per month, so have a strong appreciation for what good writing entails.

While at CE Media I wrote a significant proportion of an event brochure as well as text for newsletters and social media.

I have excellent writing and editorial skills and experience, and exemplary grammar and spelling. I produce clear, efficient and engaging editorial copy and have done so on a full-time basis for six print and online publications, not to mention all the freelance work I've done over the years. I have solid experience of proofreading, copy-editing and re-writing content for online and print audiences. I am comfortable with writing in different tones of voice and working to different style guides.

I have an interest in all things web. I have demonstrable HTML skills, experience of content management systems. I have also been trained in InDesign. At Elite Business and Elite Franchise, I had sole responsibility for social media and carried out these duties with precision.

I have excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills both orally and in writing. I am a clear, confident and persuasive communicator with the ability to anticipate the views of different audiences. I have excellent organisational skills and am adaptive and flexible.

I have a meticulous approach to work and can work on my own initiative. I have experience working in a high-pressure environment, and can deliver under pressure and to deadline without compromising quality. It is important for me to be one of the best at what I do.
