Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for the role of freelance Motion/Moving Image Designer. I have attached my CV along with this Cover Letter, whilst my online portfolio is available at atomgfx

I gathered experience in producing innovative and engaging digital brand campaigns for a number of large clients, including TGI Fridays, Walkabout Bars, and Hollywood Bowl. I am confident in the conception, development and pitching of creative ideas to high-profile clients and internal team members alike. Having worked as a Senior Motion Designer for a digital screen communication agency in the UK, I am experienced with digital solutions involving cutting edge technologies, as well as the production processes that surround the respective marketing campaigns. I have been fortunate enough to partake in a wide variety of campaigns, ranging from bespoke in-store installations and branded channels to touchscreen portals and tablet user-interfaces.

In hiring me, you would gain a grounded visionary with a strong drive to realize big ideas, whilst retaining an acute awareness of real-world constraints and marketing objectives. With a mix of methodical, technical and creative approaches, and a firm knowledge of state-of-the-art design practices, I thrive when working in a fast-paced, innovative and evolving environment. If selected, I would contribute my experience in producing appealing, high-impact VFX & Motion Graphics and apply it to the brief required.

I am accustomed to taking on any role within a team: from inspiring studio leader overseeing workflow, schedules, evaluations and critiques, to a hands-on designer. I am familiar with the tools needed at the production end of the creative process, and have a proven track record of producing digital media with After Effects, Photoshop and 3ds Max (some C4D and maya too). I am confident with other Adobe Suite applications and possess a good working knowledge of HTML and CSS running several websites in my spare time. With the continuing rise and development of interactive technology, these are all skills I intend to continue to strengthen. The same passion to learn and to expand on my creative knowledge originally led me to attend the Cardiff School of Creative Industries (the "ATRiuM") at the University of South Wales (UK), where I completed a degree in Motion Graphics and Visual Effects (BA hons).

I currently I live near Paris (Bois d'Arcy 78390) but will consider traveling to most European cities for longer term contracts. I am a native English speaker.
