About me

I would like to apply for the advertised role as I feel I have the relevant skills and experience necessary to successfully fulfill the position. I have previously undertaken this role for a variety of companies, and feel that I could be a benefit to your organisation. I have experience that ranges from working in a design team, to coordinating and running the entire print design concepts for a multi-store and online furniture company.

As you can see from my attached CV, I have spent the last year working for Oceans International, an independent furniture company. I was brought in to establish an in-house Point of Sale design department which meant building everything from the ground up in respects of studio procedures and working documents. My day to day roles include supplying Point of Sale to retail outlets and trade stands along with corporate stationery such as product brochures, business cards and letterhead.

Before my time at Oceans, I worked as a Graphic Designer within a local Print & Repro business so have a good understanding of printing techniques such as impositions and preflighting.

Other experiences I feel would be useful towards this role would be my time at The Copyrights Group, an independent merchandise agency who represented famous brands such as Beatrix Potter and Marie Claire to name a few. I worked in a small team of graphic designers responsible for supporting the marketing department with sales related material and even dealt with a few trade show stands single handedly.
