About Ruvini
About Me & Practice:
I am a Sri Lanka-based Multidisciplinary Artist and Visual Storyteller exploring the space between imagination, technology, and human experience.
My practice moves fluidly across graphic design, 2D/3D visual experimentation, motion graphics, filmmaking, photography, songwriting, poetry, body art, and experimental digital projects (including pseudonyms and sonic explorations). Deeply drawn to surrealism, symbolism, mythology, identity, and emotion, I transform abstract concepts into rich visual languages, characters, and immersive environments.
Creative Philosophy:
I believe an idea should never have to force itself into a medium—the medium must serve the idea. A story might call for a painting, a feeling for music, a memory for a photograph, or a concept for a character. To me, creativity isn't about mastering a single discipline, but about knowing enough languages to express what needs to be said.
Driven by curiosity over certainty and meaning over decoration, I don't create to simply reproduce the world as it is—I create to explore what else it could become.
