About me
I am a third year architecture student looking to extend my experience within the wider art and design world upon graduating in June. I have excellent working knowledge of Macintosh operating systems, Adobe Photoshop, Vectorworks and Sketchup as well as working knowledge of Dreamweaver, Illustrator and Indesign.
I am in particular passionate about art and design for the community, and the need for inclusion of local people and users in all aspects of the design process as well as the wider design debate. Some of my greatest inspiration in studio projects have included groups such as Rural Studio, Matrix and Design Like You Give A Damn. I have also very much enjoyed the hands on experience of art gallery work, and would like to branch out further within related fields.
My interests include music, 7am yoga when I can force myself up!, snowboarding, art, travelling- my family are from Singapore and I often travel upon any given opportunity, tattoo art, documentaries and foreign film, comic novels, politics, penguins and old school children's tv.
Through varying opportunities, I have not only gained independence, but learnt a great deal about different cultures and ways of living. I have in particular really enjoyed learning from challenging experiences and meeting new people. I am intent on staying grounded and keeping an open mind, as well as learning from and working with others around me, through teamwork, day to day activities, and constant challenges.
