About me

Within C.G.I I believe I'm a capable general artist but my main focus is to create models with a love mostly for creating 3D environments and characters ether realistic or stylized. But I believe that I would easily adapt to any other styles or other aspects of 3D like texturing and lighting, am confident with most aspects of 3D. I love to be presented with a challenge and will work hard to find a good looking solution to that problem or design brief.

The main packages that I use are 3D Studio Max and Photoshop, of which I've developed a good understanding, but I'm always trying to expand and test myself, improving my skills further. To enhance my modelling skills I'm currently learning the basics of Z-Brush to help create more convincing, photorealistic models and my skills in sketching and technical drawing provide a good foundation for the design and planning stages of my 3D work. I am also interested in learning other 3D packages and believe that I would have no problem picking them up quickly.

I finished university with a 2:1 in Special Effects Design specialising in C.G.I and for my final project I created a short 3D animation. I produced all the stages of the project from design to completed animation. This enabled me to develop key planning skills and how to work to a tight deadline. As well as working independently on university projects I've also managed multiple pieces of work to tight deadlines working in a group and to design briefs, such as when we developed a proposal for our final year design show, in which I created multiple 3D concept designs of display stands and a walkthrough of how the exhibition would look.
