About me
I was employed until redundancy at one of the country's leading Prepress Companies for magazine production as a Mac Operator for over ten years.
Although Photoshop involved approximately 70% of my time, I am fully conversant with Quark, InDesign and a limited amount of Illustrator since working for Argent. InDesign and Quark often required the correcting of clients' files so that they output to PDF correctly.
The office expertise I posses entails the handling of clients, costing and quotations, organising and maintaining work schedules and transmitting files to clients.
My tutoring for the College of North East London was limited to adults only. Their skill levels ranged from graduate to those with learning difficulties. The course I taught involved liasing with CONEL as the provider, with the LearnDirect Centre for whom the course was run; negotiating on software to use and creating the course around the outline provided; producing PowerPoint presentations along with Course Notes and Task Book, hence my qualifications in Further Education Teaching, Word and Excel plus self-taught PowerPoint.
The enclosed Curriculum Vitae lays out some of my previous experience and knowledge of software and the background I have in prepress from conventional to digital which has been inclusive of various types of employers from small Trade Shops, large Pre-press and Printers, covering all types of work from agency, posters, large corporations, down to business cards.
