Dear Sir/Madam,

I am very keen to apply for your junior design director position. As you can see from my attached CV, I already have considerable relevant experience in the industry. I've done work placements in two leading companies and am now confident about performing a full-time, professional role in the industry.

At Electronic Arts I was responsible for designing logos and splashes for upcoming mobile games such as Scrabble, Tetris and the SimsBuildit, under the supervision of the professional designers. I was part of their Creative Lab team were me and other artists would come up with new visual concepts for their apps and worked also on production, helping with localizing content. I also was given internal projects, such as designing their new in-house platform Sandbox or ad posters. Much of the work was complex, deadlines tight, and attention to detail was crucial.

At McCann Erickson I was trained in creating a new brand identity and package design for Femivital product. I was also responsible for creating vector illustrations for The Coca-Cola Company and other logos while under the tight supervision of my superior.

An important part of my most recent placement involved communicating to head art directors, within the company and my ability to be focussed and imaginative when working with others are amongst my strongest qualities.

Having worked also as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator, I worked closely with business entrepreneurs and clients from the book publishing industry, including authors, publishers and printers. This is why I find it crucial to create a design that would both fit the project and the expectations of all people involved.
