About me

I am a 27 year old living in Seven Sisters, London. I recently took
voluntary redundancy from Express Newspapers where I worked for four
years as Enterprise Executive in the field of Premium Rate Telephony.
This was a varied job on the advertising floor in which I used
advertising space to promote our IVR, web, and mobile-based services,
competitions, and downloadable mobile content. The fundamentals of my
role were to organise, design, and write creative copy for ads and
promotional space made available to our department, whilst liaising
with suppliers, editors, designers and production for their
implementation. I worked on Daily/Sunday Express, Daily Star/Daily Star
Sunday newspaper titles, plus OK!, new! and Star celebrity news &

I am currently looking for a more focused role which gives me a
greater license to utilise my creative writing skills with short and
long copywriting. My job at Express Newspapers became frustrating as
our promotional space was continually reduced due to a decrease in
pagination on the papers, the general state of the PRTS climate, and
advertising taking back space to hit their budgets.

I have a wealth of experience in print media and content editing on
mobile interfaces, a bachelors Degree in Literature/Philosophy
(including creative writing units) at UEA, voluntary reviewing
experience for a music website, and I am a scriptwriter in my spare
time.
