About me

From a young age people often told me I would work in advertising. Strangers would stop me on the street and say, 'hey you've got what it takes to make it in ads pal'. Alas, the influence of my socialist parents was strong. And so, I tried desperately to avoid my destiny. As a fresh faced idealist I dreamed of being many things. An artist, musician, or environmental scientist. I even studied them all at university for many years, and then did them for work, among a hundred other professions. In the end though, try as you might, you can't fight fate, and now I work in ads.

From my start as a Copywriter at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne changing legislation, to now as an ACD at R/GA NY, changing TikTok, I love this job. I could go on about working on brands, 'from Nike to Google', I judged this, I judged that, I won this award, I won that award and so on. And to be sure, I did, but if we meet, I'll bore you in person.
