About me

My name is Ross Gylanders

I am recent graduate from the University of Salford, obtaining a 2.2 in Advertising Design.

I am a hard working, passionate, highly enthusiastic and extremely motivated individual, with a love for all things design and media related.

I have a strong understanding of Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator, Mircosoft Office (word, publisher, excell & powerpoint), photography and social media (facebook, twitter, google+ and Linkedin)

through having used them on a daily basis throughout university and everyday life. As well as teaching myself a better understanding and know how of Dreamweaver and Flash.

Within my course required a lot of research and understanding on the media that the brief was set on, and therefore, research became a vital and useful asset to develop, whilst i feel i still have more to learn i feel i have a good understanding of sources and research techniques in order to produce the best possible result for any given task. I feel that developing this has helped every aspect of the development and process to any task or challenge that i receive.

By going to the gym, participating in a variety of sports such as Football, Squash, Basketball and swimming, i maintain a keen interest in health and fitness which is a key attribute in my sense of discipline into my professional life and social life, and helps me with maintaining good and consistent time management and organizational skills.

whilst i may lack Industry Experience, i feel that by having a keen interest and possessing a great passion for design, artwork, and media in general, i feel i would be able to learn fast and offer new fresh ideas.
