Dear sir/madam,

As an individual with previous editing and proofreading experience across a range of different formats, I believe I could be an asset to your company.

In previous roles, I've had to perform copywriting and copyediting for various different purposes and ensured the content was perfect enough to be published in newspapers, magazines and across online platforms. My latest role, working at a private university, gave me experience in online editing in the form of blogs and WordPress, as I had to constantly update the company's information across a multitude of representative websites, e.g. the parent site, study blogs, government education pages and so on.

When it comes to copywriting, I believe creativity is key. In a world full of written information, only the most creative and accurate writing catches the attention of a reader. Previous roles have made me adept at following briefs, targeting specific demographics (with advertising and so on) and creating the basis of new concepts for different campaigns.
