About me
I am a freelance Copywriter based in London.
I very much enjoy the process of writing copy, and have developed my understanding and skill by working for several different companies and brands. The work that I undertake is varied, which is an amazing opportunity to work on different projects and to continue to learn and expand my knowledge, whilst crafting interesting and engaging content.
I am the Art's Editor and Copy Editor for Zine, a print magazine that published its first issue in 2016, with the third issue forthcoming. Zine commissions the best up-and-coming talent in photography, design, art and fashion to create a beautiful contemporary men's magazine. My role as Arts Editor involves coming up with ideas for features, pitching to the Editor-in-Chief and then performing interviews and thorough research in order to write thoughtful and provocative articles.
I took the role of Copy Editor for issue two of Zine, which meant that I was responsible for proof-reading, fact-checking and maintaining the tone of the magazine throughout all of the copy. Attention to detail and a certain amount of fastidiousness was necessary for this role, however it was a rewarding experience as I had worked with each of the editors, writers and contributors to bring the issue to print.
I write for a digital marketing agency for whom I write a weekly article that summarises the most interested developments in the field, which is published under the CEO's name. I also write long-form blog posts that range from words on topics that are related to digital strategy, tech developments and marketing in the modern day.
I work for an interior design and high-end furniture website, where I produce product descriptions, interior descriptions and critiques as well as longer articles about particular interior trends, how-to pieces and interviews/biographies for designers and their brands. I greatly enjoy these assignments, as I have a strong visual and design background; I studied Fine Art at Central St Martins, and worked for a variety of galleries after graduating, including the ICA, Purdy Hicks Gallery and Carpenters Workshop Gallery, where I developed my interest in art, aesthetics, furniture design and interiors.
I write content for a fashion accessories website that is based in Sydney, which mostly consists of product descriptions, web copy and blog posts. I have also become involved in shaping the brand's online presence - making the website more user-friendly, driving traffic and creating a digital strategy that will help the business to grow.
