About me

I am currently working as a Designer for a company called OLCI in London. I work within the Marketing Department and the role involves, design for print including, brochures, leaflets, banners, advertisements, a magazine and online production for web advertising, email newsletters, email campaigns and design for websites. Previously in my career I managed a design department within an International advertising company for over three years. I was responsible for recruiting, employing and training all staff in my department. I am dedicated and responsible, with a great deal of drive and a set of invaluable skills to offer my next employer. I am highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about design and I am certain I would be an asset to any team. I am willing to help and learn and look forward to progressing in my career. I also make a great cuppa!

Skills

I have an excellent working knowledge of InDesign, QuarkXpress, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat, I have a very good understanding of Dreamweaver and have a number of websites up and running. I have also completed a Dreamweaver training course, I have a basic working knowledge of Fireworks and Flash, I have sufficient typing and Word Processing skills

Graphic designer 10/10 - Present, OLCI - My job involves design for print including, promotional campaigns, brochures, posters, banners and a magazine. I have been responsible for the relaunch and design of multiple company websites. I also design the companies email campaigns which involves creating html and css. In all my work for the company I have to ensure that everything that goes out sits within the companies brand identity., Designer/Digital designer 10/09 - 10/10, Ten Alps Creative - My job involved design for print including, mailers, new business proposals, advertisements, producing various magazines which were published in house, and also online production. I was responsible for the web advertising, ebooks, online magazines and front end design for websites, creating html and css., Design Manager 11/06 - 10/09, Mongoose Media - Design manager for Mongoose Media, which covered a wide array of responsibilities, including my sole concern to assure that all the work that went out met the correct standard and quality expected. I oversaw a small team and all the workload and ensured all deadlines were met. I was in charge of all the design aspects of the company including promotional materials, advertising and web. I relaunched the companies website and also transferred printed material into a digital formats, including e-books., Design Assistant 04/04 -11/06, Mongoose Media - I had been working as a graphic designer covering a wide range of work. I had a number of responsibilities and the work I did spanned from setting advertisements, setting editorial for some In-house magazines, promotional items, media packs, proposals, website for a In-house magazine and web buttons for various advertisers.
