About me
Please be informed that as stated above, I will be in London very soon and will be able to work almost straight away, not needing a big notice period.
I chose London over Lisbon as the first one offers me a lot more options to grow as a professional, as it will be more challenging, more fast-paced and more appealing to work in. I am looking for a new career opportunity in a well-established and growing organisation, where my academic background and personnel skills will allow me the opportunity that I need to develop myself into an even better professional.
I have worked since 2016 as a freelance graphic designer and photographer, at the time, the idea of depending solely on me was appealing, but also challenging as I needed to be responsible and hard on myself as deadlines go. I worked with several clients, from music festivals to restaurants, to small businesses, and I was never shy of a new challenge.
In 2016 I also began working as a Designer for IADE and accepted two major challenges from them, the first was to head the Branding and Communication department for their project BOLD - Creative Festival. Alongside a very talented team I helped create a nationally known festival of creativity that had as a partner EDP (the biggest energy company in Portugal). With them we created a contest just for students so they could be in contact with that company and know all of the responsibilities that comes with it. We created everything, from packaging, to stands, to brochures, TV spots, web ads, and more. We helped build an attractive line-up to the festival's conferences, being responsible for bringing Jessica Walsh for the first time to Portugal as well as David Carson.
I also was Head of Design and Creative Director in the team that made the branding and communication of the nationally known conferences entitled Senses & Sensibility, in 2017 we took the challenge of shaping the visual identity of that year's edition with the topic 'Design Beyond Borders'. Having that project become one of the best branding institutional branding projects of that year.
As a professional I am very keen to take on new challenges with responsibilities and high expectations. I am a fast learner and respond well to criticism. I adapt very quickly and my diverse academic background allows me to extend my duties, working as a Photographer, Studio Photographer, Junior Art Director, with success in any of those positions.
I am also trilingual, being fluent with both written and spoken English, Portuguese and Spanish. I also have basic knowledges of French and Italian, so dealing with different clients from other nationalities or languages won't be a problem.
