Dear Sir / Madam

I am writing to demonstrate my interest in applying for an job in your company. My name is Rodrigo Dias Batista, I'm 23 years old, and I graduated this year in Design, by IADE - Creative University, a pioneered institute in the teaching of Design in Portugal. Before joining IADE University, I finished in 2011 a 3-year course in graphic arts, which provided me with a deep knowledge in the Adobe programs.

I am a very creative and active person, very hardworking, either alone or in a group, well disposed and especially communicative. I believe I could make a valuable contribution to your company due to my academic background and my professional experience.

During my time at IADE University, I have won some competitions among which the most relevant are:

1) "Creative Week", proposed by EDP Energy Company in Portugal, where I developed a proposal for a new headquarters and all communication until its inauguration, which is scheduled for December 2014. The budget for this project was one million Euros.

2) A project proposed by MEO, a communications company in Portugal, in which the aim was to improve the helpdesk application on television. This is not yet in my portfolio because due to the company requirement, it is not yet possible to publish anything related with the project.

I have some professional experience in Graphic Design. In 2010 I did an internship in Diário de Notícias, a Portuguese daily newspaper and in 2011 I worked at Fernandes e Terceiro, a conceptualized Portuguese graphical in the area of Graphic Arts.

I also had other professional experiences that enhanced my communication skills, such as at FNAC, an international entertainment retail chain, and at ZARA, a clothing business.

As an intern at your company, it would be a great opportunity for me to practice my English and at the same time further develop my communication skills. In addition, it will be highly enriching academically, professionally, and above all, personally.

This internship would have a minimum duration of 3 months. My own university is responsible for a grant towards the cost of travel and stay (ERASMUS Placement). Once the deadline is near, I would like to ask you, if possible, for a quick reply.
