About me
I started in Advertising in 1980, working for IMP in London as a field exec. In 1986 I was freelancing for an ad agency in Bristol, having reinvented myself as a copywriter. When that agency folded, I had been doing all its creative work with an art director, so I went round all its clients, telling them that we were actually freelance and could continue to produce their creative work if they wished. They nearly all did and so I started a creative hotshop agency, working out of a converted barn in the Cotswolds. We had clients all over the UK.
