About me

I am a photographer currently living in New York City. I arrived to New York during the summer of 2008 to pursue a one year certificate program at ICP. After receiving my degree in June 2009, I continued working on a project called, "Underneath Light" using a "light painting" technique, which takes its inspiration on the indigenous Mexicans beliefs in spirits that still commingles with Christianity. Certainly the beginning of an investigation that I've continue developing through various series, in which a genuine interest become evident in inquiring about how some people, places or objects are able to evade time and remain unchanged for years and even centuries.

My travels and studies have been a fundamental aspect in my artistic development. In the summer of 2000, I went to Paris, with a Bachelor degree of Arts in Communication Sciences by the ITESM of Monterrey, Mexico. There I began my formal training as an artist and photographer.

I have exhibited in prestigious places like ICP New York, the Arsenal of Venice, Mona Bismarck Foundation in Paris and MARCO Museum of Contemporary Art in Monterrey Mexico. In 2016 I was selected finalist for the FEMSA Biennial in Mexico among others.
