About me

My name is Roberta Federica Scutti and I have a degree in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera, Italy.

My studies have given me a careful observation of reality, a deep understanding of philosophical concepts and historical art and good technical ability.

My travels (to Paris, Vienna, Melbourne, Budapest, Amsterdam, London, etc.) and the exhibitions I have done have led me to explore different cultures and compare my work with different artists. Thus allowing me to have my own distinct way of expressing my art.

Skills

I am a creative person with good technical skills in the design.My work is a gesture, leaving a trace, just as Richard Long did in the Sahara desert. The environment changes as the artist passes through it. An artist makes a gesture, a journey, an experience, leaving traces of himself, as Boltanski did with his works through repetition, like with the 2500 metal boxes that consisted in of his 1997 installation.We have no need of Matisse’s work but we need Matisse.We need the sharp eye of an artist who through all the indifferences of others manages to find beauty. As Delacroix said, "You have to see the beauty the way the artist intended it to be seen."The artist observes and absorbs his time and gives a vision of the world and the society he lives in. Their materials are just a way to arrive at an idea. The art is the unique expression of an individual, the art is to leave a trace of itself in the world, a trace that no one knows specifically how to leave.
