About me

My name is Robert Squires an I am a Graphic Design graduate from the Arts University at Bournemouth. As a recent graduate, I have completed a number of paid design projects and one placement at Advansys E-Commerce Solutions. These opportunities have enabled me to develop my portfolio, gain insight into the commercial world of graphic design and enhance my skill set.

Initially interested in the medium of print and typography I fulfilled the role of art director on the student magazine BUMF, a publication received to excellent critical acclaim. The freelance projects further built on this passion, working with individual bands, a music promotion company and start up business developing brand identity, posters, flyers, business cards and CD covers. Negotiating skills were very important when dealing directly with clients. Working with the graphic designer at Advansys on e-commerce web design enhanced my transferable skill set in preparation for my next design role.
