I have over 12 years' experience in media, both in field and print media sales(regional and territory- achieving successfully against target and growth patterns, keeping claims and credits to a minimum, developing new accounts into long term partners and upselling existing accounts to new publications/marketing strategies) and internal department management-most recently running a small team (5 staff) in newspaper planning for 15 weekly Newspapers and 2 weekend insert magazines, covering every aspect of liaison and negotiation between my department, external agencies and customers regarding copy, ad space, technical dimensions and acceptable copy formats: Editorial departments to ensure respective editorial guidelines and spreads/pages are free and available whilst ensuring maximum advert presence: Liaising with relevant advertising departments (National bookings: ROP/Motors display: Property pages: Telesales and classified/Business and recruitment) Ensuring correct positioning of pre-sold space and accommodation of additional spaces sold. Negotiation with production and copy department, ensuring ALL advert copy had been signed off and ready to print, any final on-page issues are satisfactory solved and all copy pages have been received at press- and with internal accounts and credit control department ensuring correct financial management of printed adverts are within accepted limits.
