About me
I am currently Head Runner / Transfer Bay Assistant at a London post-production studio.
I am looking to leave my role within audio post-production and move into production areas. Specifically television production if possible. I would be more than happy to be considered for any Runner jobs. However, career wise I would aspire to eventually become a researcher before finally a producer or scriptwriter. At university broadcasting was a prominent aspect of my media course and I have always excelled at research based tasks. Therefore, any task that would bring me closer to this aspiration would be undertaken with a vigour and keenness.
I have always had great enthusiasm for media and the creativity it allures. Throughout university I studied prose, screenplays, theatre and poetry amongst academia and was encouraged to habitually submit a diverse range of writing styles. I often created my own screenplays and prose and continue to do so now in my free time. The opportunity to create a character, story, world or idea is what makes me truly contented. It is my passion.
I am an articulate and courteous individual, with good all round communication skills. I take great delight in the opportunity to be creative. My university course has given me an understanding of the business rationale that is imperative to a successful media company, and through Grand Central I have experienced the durability and work ethic expected in order to progress within the industry. Further, observing the daily running of this company and the training which I have undertaken has given me a greater understanding of the whole production process.
I believe I am a creative individual with media experience. However, I am not naïve to the fierce level of competition within the career I desire. Therefore, I would greatly welcome any help or advice you would be able to provide me with.
I look forward to hearing form you.
Yours faithfully.
