About me

As you will see from the attached CV, I am an accomplished graphic designer with several years' commercial work behind me and a particular passion for page layout and design. My last two roles have predominantly consisted of book design and page layout for a variety of books and magazines, although I am a strong all-round designer, with sound working experience of taking projects right through from design and layout to press.

In 2006, I successfully completed a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design. During my second year, I was a finalist in the RSA's stamp design competition, and my designs were exhibited at the Pentagram Gallery in London. During my degree course, I was able to supplement my university funding by taking on freelance design work.

In addition to my in-depth understanding of print processes and leading industry standard software packages such as Adobe CS3 and Quark XPress, on a more personal level, I am a strong team player who is committed, adaptable and dependable, with a strong sense of humour. I embrace the opportunity to take on new challenges and learning experiences, and my problem-solving skills are second to none.

I feel that my degree in Graphic Design coupled with the commercial work that I have done allows me to be in the fortunate position of being able to offer potential employers the benefit of fresh, up-to-date training as well as several years' experience, and I would like the opportunity to continue to develop my skills further.
